M. local time on Thursday, June 2 , 2011.  Bids will be received at the offices of the Mississippi Soil and Water Conservation Commission, 680 Monroe Street, Suite B, Jackson, MS 39202 or by mail at P. O. Box 23005, Jackson, MS 39225-3005 for works of improvement (bank stabilization & pipes) in the Piney Creek Watershed in Yazoo County, Mississippi.  
The project includes clearing and grubbing; removal of water; erosion control blanket; excavation (common); protective cover; earthfill, class A;  drainfill;  concrete, class 3000M;  concrete grout; corrugated metal pipe, barrel, 36” diameter;   corrugated metal pipe, barrel, 48” diameter;    corrugated metal pipe, riser, 54” diameter;  corrugated metal pipe, riser, 60” diameter; mobilization and demobilization;  rock rip rap; pipe anchor;  filter material; earthfill, slurry; earthfill, slurry, offsite  and geotextile.

A site visit for all interested bidders will be held on Monday, May 23, 2011.  Interested bidders should meet at the Yazoo County Soil and Water Conservation District Office, located at 220 Wyeth  Drive, Suite C, Yazoo City, Mississippi, at 10:00 a.m. that day.
