Panthers head coach Bernard Euell talks with some defensive players during the spring game.The Yazoo County Panthers have only had a handful of practices under new head coach Bernard Euell, and after last Thursday’s spring scrimmage with Germantown, Euell feels there is a lot of excitement around the swamp these days.

“I was very pleased with the guys,” he said. “They played with a lot of passion and energy and they also showed effective discipline as well.”

Euell takes over a Panthers team that had just one victory in 2010 and modest success over the last few years with back to back playoff seasons in 2008 and 2009.
