Miss Laura Ann Burton and Matt HinesMr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Alan Burton of Bentonia announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Ann, to Matthew Thaddeaus “Matt” Hines, son of Dr. and Mrs. Roger H. Hines of Kosciusko.
She is the granddaughter of Mary Ann Bridges and the late Delma Bridges of Bentonia and Dot Hoss and the late James Burton of Flora.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Hines of Texarkana, Texas and Wanda Henderson of Abilene, Texas.
Laura is a 2006 graduate of Tri-County Academy and received her Bachelors of Science in Special Education from Mississippi State University in 2010. She will complete her Master’s Degree in Special Education this fall. She is currently a special education teacher at Armstrong Middle School in Starkville.
Matt is a 2008 graduate of Kosciusko High School. He is currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in vocal education at Mississippi State University.
The couple will exchange vows at the First Baptist Church of Flora on July 2, 2011 at 4 pm. The reception will follow immediately at the bride’s home in Bentonia.
