JACKSON – Manchester Academy couldn’t keep up the momentum last Friday from their game one victory over Hillcrest.
The Mavericks were eliminated from the first round of the Class AA series after losing back-to-back contests, 19-4 and 10-0.
Trailing 7-0, the Mavericks responded with four runs in the third inning only to be shut out the rest of game in the 19-4 loss. Hillcrest pounded 13 hits to Manchester’s seven in the win. MA had just hits in the 10-0 shutout.
