Beverly Wood is known as “the voice” of Manchester Academy.
For the past 33 years, she has been the first person one spoke with when telephoning the school. As the receptionist, she is also usually the first face one sees entering the local academy.
The telephone lines and hallways will certainly be missing something at the end of this school year as Wood will officially retire from a post she has proudly held for three decades.
“She has been a great representation of that school, always helpful and caring,” said Brenda Milner. -------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
