An Easter to Remember

Ebenezer Baptist Church was completely wiped out on April 24, 2010 with nothing left standing after the deadly tornado.
But on Sunday, the church congregation came together under a new roof for its Easter services. There may not have been any lights available or paint on the walls, but the church family was happy to fellowship inside its semi-completed church.
It was proof that a church is not a building but the people inside it.
“We praise the Lord that we were able to get in and celebrate not only the resurrection of Jesus Christ but also the resurrection of our church,” said Pastor Billy Barron. -------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
