By JAMIE PATTERSON
Splintered trees, bare land and missing buildings are constant reminders of the deadly tornado that ripped through Yazoo County a year ago.
It doesn’t take long traveling down some rural roads or through certain neighborhoods to see the pain left in nature’s wrath.
And the memories of the four victims killed in the destruction will always rest upon the minds of those who continue to try to get back to normal.
But there is one thing visible as lots continue to be cleared, buildings move up and smiles cover the faces of each and every survivor. There is hope, and it is bright as ever as Yazoo reaches its year anniversary of the storm.
