Yazoo City hits a rough patch heading into postseason play

Yazoo City stopped a three game losing skid Monday night with a convincing 20-5 win over JZ George at home. The Indians pounded out 13 runs in the first inning before scattering seven more over the next three innings. Complete statistics were not readily available as of press time.

Back-to-back losses Friday and Saturday to St. Andrews, 19-4 and second ranked, Madison Central, 12-2, extended the Indians losing streak to three straight games after winning five of their last eight.  Last Tuesday’s loss to Canton secured a playoff spot.

Friday, the Indians failed to score in the first inning, and quickly trailed 4-0.
After a scoreless second, the Indians came back with three runs in the top of the third before the home team rallied for seven runs in the bottom half and stretched their lead to nine.
