Books, quilts, ... and cats?
Almost 200 Webster Elementary School students were treated to tours of Ricks Memorial Library this week to commemorate National Library Week. In addition to learning where books and periodicals are, the students got a “hands-on” viewing of a quilt made by the late Sarah Mary Taylor of Yazoo City.
Another popular attraction was the 13 cats that live outside the library. Pictured above is the library’s youth services coordinator, Miranda Purvis. Pictured left is a student as she looks out the window.
