Yazoo City police Lt. Isaiah Collins was recognized during Monday’s city council meeting. Thanks to Collins’ diligence, two alleged burglars were arrested after he noticed a small, overlooked clue that led police directly to the location of the individuals. They were charged with burglary after they allegedly burglarized the local Boys and Girls Club. Yazoo City Mayor McArthur Straughter noted that Collins has been a Yazoo City police officer since 2001.
