The fate of the 2011 Mavericks is in their own hands. Manchester (10-10), split the two game double header with Carroll Academy last Friday, and now they must earn two wins against Winston this week to make it to the playoffs as the number two seed in the district.
“They know its do or die,” head coach AJ Downs said. “Our backs are against the wall. They know what’s the on the line. There are some kids that have been on the team since eighth graders so they know what it’s about.”
