Lady Panthers fall to Wildcats

By DAN HAWTHORNE
Sports Editor

Yazoo County struggled to take advantage of runners on base Thursday as they were blanked by Cleveland, 8-0 in district action. The Lady Panthers were fresh off a 19-1 win over Gentry just days earlier as their run for the postseason continues.
The Lady Wildcats of Cleveland got the ball rolling early in the game with a run in the second, before making it 5-0 after plating four more in the third.
