BRITTANY ELIZABETH GRANBERRY

Funeral services for Brittany Elizabeth Granberry, 19, were Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Stricklin-King Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Donnie Stuart officiating.
Burial followed at Central Holmes Cemetery under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Ms. Granberry died April 8, 2011 from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident.
A resident of White Oak, Ms. Granberry was employed at Family Medical Clinic in Raleigh. She attended Rock Bluff Baptist Church in White Oak. She was a 2009 graduate of raleigh High School, where she graduated with highest honors and and was co-captain of the Raleigh High School 2008-2009 State Championship Cheerleading Squad.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Bernadine “Hattie” Deemer of Yazoo County; her great-grandfather, G.W. Arender of Yazoo County; great-aunts Cecilia “Mamie” Phelps of Nitta Yuma and Madeline Posey of Yazoo County.
She is survived by a son, Ryder William Granberry of White Oak; her mother, Spirit Burrell Means (James) of White Oak; her father, Adam Granberry of New Orleans; her brother, John Hagen Ketchum and step-brother Austin Means, both of White Oak; her great-grandmothers, Mary Burrell and June Arender, both of Yazoo County; her grandparents, Carol and George McCain of Florida, Johnny Granberry of Lexington, Nadine A. Granberry of Yazoo County and Roy and Kim Everett of Yazoo County; her uncles, John Granberry of Madison, Sam Granberry of Madison and Chris Everett of Yazoo County; her aunts Tracy Marberry of Water Valley, Sara G. Williams of Brandon and Tamieca Everett of Yazoo County; and numerous cousins, great-aunts, great-uncles and friends.
Serving as pallbearers were Grant Means, McCaa Fuller, Thomas Powell, Matt Weghorst, Bill Steinriede, Carter Stanley, Jim Barry and Allen Cummings.

FRIZELL INGRAM

Frizell “Cap” Ingram, 79, died March 28, 2011, at home. Funeral services were April 1 from St. James Church of God in Christ with the Rev. Elder Gwendolyn Samples officiating.
Burial was in Union Paradise Cemetery in Vaughan under the funeral directions of Century Funeral Home.
Mr. Ingram was born Nov. 20, 1932, to the late Marsha Lee White and Mizell Ingram (Mattie Banks Ingram) and reared by his grandmother, Mary White.
He accepted Christ at a very early age and was a faithful member of Union Paradise in Vaughan, where he served as a deacon for more than 60 years.
Mr. Ingram was employed by Southern Bag for more than 45 years. He also worked as a “grandparent” with the Yazoo County Foster Grandparent Program.
He was preceded in death by his wife Maggie (Hudson) Ingram; four sisters, Fannie, Louise, Jannie and Betty Ingram; and a brother, Mizell L. Ingram Jr.
Survivors are five sons, James (Addie) Ingram, David (Sheryl) Ingram, Terry Ingram of Jackson, Ernest (Linda) Little of Yazoo City and Darrell (Ann) Ingram of New Orleans; four daughters, Jeanette Carter of Chicago, Nancy Thornton of St. Louis, Hazel (Leonard) Jones and Mary Ingram of Jackson; four sisters, Lennie (Jacks) Graham of St. Louis, Margaret (Robert) Robertson of Memphis, Tenn., Lucille Simmons of Chicago and Thelma Hunt of Indianapolis; three brothers, Calvin (Rita) Ingram, Clifton Ingram and James Ingram of Memphis, Tenn.; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Active pallbearers were Robert Hawkins, Roy Hawkins, Walter Gainwell, Calvin Williams, Jimmy Young and Peter Gower.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were Mr. Ingram’s sons, James Ingram, Terry Ingram, Ernest Little, David Ingram, Darrell Ingram and Carlos Jones.

CHUCK WALKER

Chuck Braydon Walker, 35, died Sunday, March 27, 2011, in Milton, Fla. A private family memorial service was held there March 29, 2011.
Mr. Walker was born Oct. 15, 1975 to Carl and Janet Walker, formerly of Yazoo City.
Survivors include his parents, Carl and Janet Walker , and sister, Misty Walker, all of Milton, Fla.; children, Braydon L. Walker of Madison, Christianna Walker and Cody Walker of Milton, Fla.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Vernon Linwood Taggart Jr. of Yazoo City, Imogene Nelson of Yazoo City, and Farrell Walker and Nell Walker of Mendenhall.
Memorials may be made to the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children.
