Ryan Smith had a pair of doubles and three stolen bases in the Raiders 5-4 win over Humphreys Academy. Benton Academy extended their winning streak to nine games Tuesday after John Philip Zeigler knocked home the game winning run in the Raiders final at bat for a 5-4 victory over Humphreys Academy.

The Raiders improve to 5-1 in district play and have pretty much secured a postseason spot.

“The biggest thing I see with them, is their attitudes are low,” Benton head coach Brent Woods said. “They’re playing great ball together. They have the best team chemistry I’ve seen; no individuals out there.”
