Demarcus Mahone makes an awkward catch in the infield during Saturday’s game versus Callaway in the Indians Invitational. Demarcus Mahone makes an awkward catch in the infield during Saturday’s game versus Callaway in the Indians Invitational. A three-run shot in straight away centerfield by Demarcus Mahone gave the Indians an 8-7 lead in the sixth inning in game one of the Yazoo City Invitational.

It proved to be the fatal blow as the Indians would tack on an insurance run and earn the 9-7 victory over the Callaway Chargers Saturday afternoon.

It was the second of three consecutive wins for the Indians, which included a 14-0 win over Yazoo County to take the series for 2011 and a 5-4 win over district foe Neshoba Central.
