Local students earn MC honors

The Office of Academic Affairs at Mississippi College released has named local students to the list of academic scholars for the 2010 fall semester.
To be eligible for the President’s List, a student must maintain a 4.0 or “straight A’s,” based on a 4.0 system.  The student must take a full course load of at least 12 semester hours of undergraduate credit with all academic courses impacting their grade point average.
Local students among the President’s list include Harris Sojourner Swayze of Benton; Joy Lynet Vanlandingham of Bentonia; Trisha Ann Odom and Candace Danielle Trotter,  both of Yazoo City.
To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must maintain a 3.5 or better grade point average based on a 4.0 system.  The student must take a full course load of at least 12 semester hours of undergraduate credit with all academic courses impacting their grade point average.
Local students among the Dean’s list include Molly Katherine Carr of Benton;  Monique Smith of Bentonia; Stephanie Brower, Elysia Nicole Helton and Sadie Hasty VanGorder, all of Yazoo City.
