Youth ATV safety bill signed by governor

By JASON PATTERSON
Managing Editor

Gov. Haley Barbour has signed a bill designed to reduce the number of youth ATV injuries.
The new law requiring safety measures for young ATV riders will take effect July 1.
It will require drivers and passengers under age 16 who ride on public land to wear helmets and complete a safety course. Organizations approved by the state Department of Public Safety could hold the courses. -------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
