Panthers grab first win, then fall to Yazoo City

After ending a nine game losing streak to start the season, Yazoo County notched its first win on the year last Friday, 7-4 over Amanda Elzy, only to be shutdown offensively against their long time rivals Yazoo City on Saturday 18-4.
The Panthers found themselves behind 2-1  to Elzy after the first two innings before scoring six unanswered in the fifth and sixth innings to take a 7-2 lead.
Marshall Thomas scored a pair of runs on his single while Tremaine Baldwin, Devontae White and Trebor Gainwell also found the hit column for the Panthers.
Austin Tyson earned the win after pitching 6.1 innings and giving up four runs on two hits while striking out seven batters.
