HATTIE FOSTER
Hattie Mae Foster, 81, of Bentonia died Thursday, May 27, 2010 at University Medical Center.
Funeral services were Saturday at the Stricklin-King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Woods officiating. Burial followed at Central Holmes Cemetery.
Mrs. Foster was born July 23, 1928 in Yazoo County to Samuel and Nettie Warnock Hancock. She was a homemaker and a member of Oil City Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Foster; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and two great-great grandchildren.
Survivors include three sons, John Foster, Charles Foster and Thomas Foster, all of Bentonia; five daughters, Ilva Mae Ray of Canton, and Mary Jane Warnock, Dorothy Landrum, Ruby Mauldin and Patsy Chapman, all of Bentonia; brothers, Lonnie Hancock of Bentonia, Sammy K. Hancock of Orange Grove, Pete Hancock of Bentonia, Jimmy Hancock of Orange Grove, Lamar Hancock of Benton and Roy Hancock of Benton; sisters, Margie Herrod of Bentonia, Christine Cain of Bentonia, Shirley Warrington of Bentonia and Ruby NeCaise of Gulfport; 20 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were George Ray Jr., John Foster Jr., Caleb Ray and James Foster.
