Sheriff’s Department makes six drug arrests

By JASON PATTERSON
Managing Editor

The Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department made six drug arrests this week.
One arrest was the result of some observant officers on patrol, while four were drug cases worked through a joint effort between Yazoo County and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.
Calvin Wesley Nevels, 28, of 3820 Fletcher’s Chapel Rd. and James Owen Nevels, 20, of 3873 Fletcher’s Chapel Road, were both charged with possession of methamphetamine this week after an officer noticed James Nevels driving carelessly when leaving a Yazoo City service station.-------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
