ARCOLA – Benton Academy picked up their third straight victory Monday night, skimming by Deer Creek School 8-6 on the road after recharging their batteries from spring break.

“We’re still a work in progress,” head coach Brent Woods said of his 5-3 Raiders who start conference play this week. “They are still making easy mistakes and we’ve been trying to get themselves in better position to make those plays.”

The Raiders were cruising to a 4-1 lead after two complete innings before the Warriors cut the deficit to one after scoring two runs in the third inning.
