Catrina Hall had 23 strikeouts on the mound for the Lady Panthers last week. WINONA - Yazoo County earned a couple of wins last weekend in what could be described as a ‘walk-a-thon’ as the girls racked up over 20 walks in two games.

Thursday, the Lady Panthers (3-4) routed Indianola-Gentry 15-3 before splitting a pair of Saturday games; an 18-8 win over Weir and falling to Winona 7-0.

The Lady Panthers scored a majority of their runs off of walks,

Andrea Carter and Keisha Baldwin each led the team with a double. Yazoo County batters spent the majority of the time with the bats on their shoulders.

Catrina Hall struck out 10 batters in the win.
