Yazoo County’s struggles on the diamond continued Saturday as the Panthers dropped a pair of games at home; 23-0 to Richland and 20-2 against Vicksburg.

The Panthers have dropped their first six games of the season including Friday’s 9-2 loss to Benton Academy.

“We played a pretty good game Friday,” head coach Corbin Ellis said. “A couple of mistakes cost us late in the game. But we’re starting to get our confidence back at the plate and putting the ball in play.”
