Yazoo County shutout on the diamond, still winless in 2011

Yazoo County’s struggles on the diamond continued this past week with a pair of road losses that kept them winless on the young season.
Thursday, they were shutout 18-0 to Mendenhall before falling to Pelahatchie Friday 14-4.
After recording just one hit in their season opening loss to Riverside, the Panthers were hitless Thursday in the 18-0 loss.
“We cut down on some of our mistakes and made some plays, we are just not hitting the ball well at all right now,” head coach Corbin Ellis said after the loss.
