Raiders fall hard to Tri-County
FLORA – Benton Academy had just one bad inning. After that, it was different ball game. The Raiders gave up nine runs in the first inning before giving up two more in an 11-1 loss to rivals Tri-County in district action. The Raiders have fallen to 2-3 on the season.
“This was not the start for us that I was expecting,” head coach Brent Woods said.
Costly errors in the field proved to be fatal for the Raiders as Jason Berry, who earned his first loss on the year gave up eight hits and seven earned runs in the first inning.
