Indians top Gators, Mahone 11k’s

VISCKSBURG – Tuesday nights chilly weather wasn’t enough to keep Yazoo City’s bats from getting hot, topping the Vicksburg Gators 6-5 in non-conference action.
The Indians had just four hits offensively, but it was enough to get win with Demarcus Mahone on the mound.
Mahone pitched a complete game giving up three runs on six hits while fanning 11 Gators in what head coach Gerald Peyton said was a superb performance.
“He was spotting his fastball and his breaking ball was on point,” he said.
