By JAMIE PATTERSON
Herald Reporter

Five more candidates turned in their qualifying packets on Tuesday, raising the total number of hopefuls in the Yazoo County elections to 45 candidates.
Circuit Clerk Susie Bradshaw said she also had a few candidates change their political party before the deadline passed.
For Yazoo County sheriff, incumbent Thomas Vaughan and Dennis Moulder will run as Republicans while challengers Jacob “Jake” Sheriff and Michael Wallace will run as Democrats. William Gilmore will run as an Independent. -------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
