CANTON – Benton Academy smacked 13 hits off Canton pitchers Friday in a 10-6 victory to cap off back-to-back games for the Raiders last week. Benton improved to 2-1 on the year after topping Deer Creek 3-2 the night before.
Hunter Davis (1-0) and John Philip Ziegler held the Panthers to just three hits combined. Davis, who fanned six batters, was credited with the win after relieving Ziegler in the third inning.
