JACKSON – Yazoo City plated 10 runs over the weekend as the Indians split the first two games of the season, defeating Murrah 7-5 before falling to Lanier 4-3 on Saturday.
Head coach Gerald Peyton says he’s ready for the upperclassmen to find their groove and he won’t hesitate to play the younger players.
“I’m going to find the right players for the right positions to help us win some ball games,” he said.
