The congregation at Hillcrest Baptist Church knows more about the value of tornado relief efforts than most.
After their church was destroyed by the April 2010 storm that hit Yazoo, support poured in from around the nation.
“Our community and our nation reached out to us in a tremendous way,” said Rev. Jeff Dixon. “Now we want to reach out to the people of Moore, Oklahoma.”
The tornado that struck Moore that killed 24, including seven children, and destroyed over 4,000 homes and businesses. Before residents can rebuild, they'll have to deal with the mountain of debris left behind.
