Anticipation and excitement are in the air as the annual Yazoo County Fair returns this week with a few new twists and traditional favorites. The Yazoo County Fair will be held from Oct. 12-20 at the county fairgrounds. Gate admission includes all rides. The family-friendly event has attracted local and out of town visitors since the 1930s. Alderman aims to clean up city park

One city alderman said it’s time to take some action to keep the Wardell Leach Recreational Complex a safe and decent place. Ward 4 Alderman Aubry Brent said he has received several complaints about certain activities being reported at the local complex.
