If trips to the moon, costume contests and visiting furry friends bring back memories of kindergarten, there’s a good chance that you were a student of Theresa Brown.
The beloved teacher has transformed her kindergarten class at Manchester Academy into a world of imagination and dreams during her 22 years of teaching.
“I want the kids to love school as much as I love teaching,” she said. “Every child fills my heart with joy. They are a part of me.”
That explaines why Brown is finding it so hard to say goodbye. This will be her last year at Manchester Academy. She will be heading to Madison Ridgeland Academy to carry on her love for children and teaching.
“I prayed about this, and God has opened this door for me,” she said. “But I keep telling my kids here that I don’t want them to be sad. Goodbyes are not the end. It simply means I will miss you until we meet again.”
