Bob Harper presents Lavern Parker (left) and Helen Anderson with signed photos.By JAMIE PATTERSON
The halls of King’s Daughters Hospital won’t seem the same without Helen Anderson and Laverne Parker, who retired this week after 62 collective years of service.
A retirement ceremony was held last Friday for the two ladies, who have proven to be symbols of dependability and kindness among the local hospital family.
“This is a sad, emotional day,” said Bob Harper, with KDH. “They are going to be hard to replace.”
Anderson has been with KDH for the past 34 years, while Parker has worked there for 28 years.
