BENTONIA-GIBBS PTO is selling “Cooking with the Kids of Bentonia-Gibbs,” which is a cookbook containing 350 recipes for $10. AARP TAX-AIDE is a program of the AARP Foundation which is offering in conjunction with the IRS a free, volunteer-run counseling and preparation service. The service is offered to all taxpayers with low and middle income, with special attention given to those 60 and older. Local volunteers will be available from 1-7 p.m. each Tuesday, starting Feb. 2 until April 13, at Tulane Baptist Church. For more information, call Edith Myles at 746-7984.

DAR YAZOO CHAPTER invites all to tour the MSSDAR owned Rosalie Mansion during the Spring Pilgrimage in Natchez. The dates are March 6- April 10, opening at 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., seven days a week. If you can’t make it those days, the mansion is open year round except Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and the Fourth of July.

MT. NEBO M.B. CHURCH will have its youth revival on March 8-10, beginning at 7:15 p.m. The theme is “Youth on the Frontline for Jesus!” The Rev. Leonard Teague of Cedar Grove M.B. Church will be the guest speaker.

YAZOO CITY MUNICIPAL SCHOOL DISTRICT regular board meeting for the month of March will be March 8 at 5 p.m.

CYPRESS GROVE M.B. CHURCH will have its spring revival on March 10-12, beginning at 7:15 p.m. nightly. The theme is “Confession, Repentance and Reconciliation. Pastor David Johnson will be the guest speaker.

MARY BRICKELL CIRCLE OF KING’S DAUGHTERS will have its meeting on March 10 at 2 p.m. in the adminstration building of the Martha Coker Green Houses.

UNITED WAY of West Central Mississippi has developed a local team and allocated funds to be distributed among service organizations providing health and educational services to youth and families in Yazoo County. United Way personnel will meet interested individuals and groups on March 10 at 3 p.m. at Ricks Memorial Library annex. TALLAHATCHIE HAYRIDE will be held at the Triangle Cultural Center on March 13 at 6:45 p.m. It will be a night of country music with Silver Eagle, Richard Outlaw, Callie Champion, John Wiliam Thompson and local poet Bob Coleman. Special guest will be Wayne Gray. Tickets are $10 and $12 at the door. Children under 6 free.

ANNUAL SPRING FORWARD YAZOO 5K Total Health and Wellness Walk, sponsored by the Yazoo City Alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, will be held on March 13. The walk begins at 8:30 a.m. in front of the Fitness Center. Healthy snacks of water, fresh fruit, yogurt and granola bard will be avialable at the end of the walk along with a few special prizes.
